THIS IS MY FIRST TIME AT FAN FAIR.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

NASHVILLE -- Fan Fair has grown each and every year, and the popularity has skyrocketed since the CMA moved it to the new downtown home in 2001. In fact the 2007 was the most popular and most visited CMA Festival in our history.

Fan Fair has three different venues: Riverfront Park, the Convention Center, and the Titans Coliseum. During the day the stars will be at the Convention Center signing autographs at the famous "Meet and Greet" session and performing on stage at Riverfront Park.

The autograph session at the Convention Center is very popular among all CMA FEST goers, as this is just one of the special events which separates Fan Fair from just another concert. The Convention Center will be open from 10am to 4:30pm Thursday through Sunday. The lines are long, but if you are patient you can meet as many stars as you want. A little hint, if you want to meet the big name stars such as: Alan Jackson or Kenny Chesney you will need to be in line no latter than 7:00am to sign-up for their autograph sessions. (this is one reason why downtown hotels are so popular)

If you are more into concerts than getting autographs you will be pleased to know that the Riverfront Park Performance will be going on from 10am in the morning to 4:30pm. Riverfront Park is located on First Avenue in the heart of Downtown Nashville.

Riverfront Park will remind you of a park setting, and seating is based on a first come first serve basis. Most attendees bring a blanket and sit on the huge grassy knoll to watch the concerts. There are two stages at all Fan Fair concerts so when one star is playing; they are prepping the other stage; hence non-stop music.

We have not left out entertainment for junior Fan Fair attendees either. Two short blocks from the Riverfront Park entrance is the Krispy Family Zone. Here the famed Rice Krispies spoke duds have headlined the activates which included face painting, temporary tattoos, and concerts by Tony the Tiger. The family zone is open from 10am to 5pm.

After a fun filled day at Fan Fair most attendees take advantage of the numerous restaurants downtown, and enjoy a few minutes of rest and relaxation. Then it is onto the Titans Coliseum for the nightly performances. This is where the big names play! In fact, one night has included the likes of Brooks and Dunn, Diamond Rio, Sara Evans, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Lonestar, and Brad Paisley. It doesn't get any bigger than that my friends.

The nightly concerts all have reserved seats, and the best place to sit is on the field. Last year (2007) the CMA Festival had only one stage for the performers to play on...every year previous they have had two different stages set-up.

After the nightly concerts, many party goers head back to 2nd Avenue or Broadway to the many clubs. The Wildhorse Saloon, The Broken Spoke Saloon, and Tootsies are a few fan favorites. This is known as the Fan Fair After Hours party, and this is a great place to take in even more country music. Most of these clubs stay open until 2am.

As you can see Fan Fair has a lot to offer. We have just highlighted the Fan Fair sanctioned events, but there are many more parties going on in Nashville. Most of the big stars will have private parties for their fan club members, and many charities will also be throwing get-togethers with the top stars.
