Where is the best place to stay for the CMA Fest?

If you are coming to the 2008 CMA Festival, I would strongly recommend staying downtown at the Double Tree by Hilton ,Sheraton, Renaissance,Hilton Suites, Union Station, or the Brand New Hampton Inn. (Please visit 2008 CMA Fest Package Deals for the package prices for these hotels). Each of these properties are rated 4 star by AAA, and they are all within 3 blocks of the convention center. I have worked with each one of these property managers for many years, and their customer service is excellent.

Please keep in mind there are more than a few downtown hotels, but Nashville is just like any other major city- it sprawls outward quite a bit. The CMA Fest two major daytime venues are held between 1st Avenue (River Front Park) and 5th Avenue (Convention Center). So you don't want to stay any further away than 8th Ave.
